Kevin Tetzlaff
Bank President, First Bank & Trust, Brookings
Kevin Tetzlaff joined the Fishback family of banks as a college intern in 1991.
Upon graduation he began as an Agricultural/Commercial Loan officer at First Bank &
Trust in Brookings, SD before assuming the role as President/CEO of First Bank & Trust
in Milbank, where he lived for 9 years. Kevin returned to Brookings in January 2008 when
he was appointed as President/CEO of First Bank & Trust.
A native of Hayti, SD, Kevin graduated with a double major in Agricultural Business and
Commercial Economics from SDSU. There, he was an SDSU football standout and All-American.
Kevin enjoys spending time with his wife, Erin, and their four children, Preston, Baylee,
Zoe and Bergan, as well as hunting, golfing and participating in various community organizations.

Dave Bonte
Community Bank President, Garretson
Dave Bonte has more than 25 years of banking experience in South Dakota and Minnesota,
having joined the Fishback Family of Banks in 1994 as Executive Vice President. He assumed
the role of Community Bank President in 2000. Dave holds a degree in banking from Pipestone
Area Technical Institute and is a Graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado.
He is currently involved in Garretson as Secretary of The Blue Dragon Foundation,
Vice-President of the Garretson Economic Development Committee and is Sexton of the Zion
Lutheran Cemetery in Garretson. Dave and his wife, Deb, have three sons, Daniel, Nicholas
and Brady. Daniel is a student at SDSU, while Nicholas is a student-athlete at USF and
Brady is a high school sophomore.

Tom Schaack
Community Bank President, Vermillion
Tom Schaack has served as Community Bank President with First Bank & Trust in Vermillion
since 1996. He is a Watertown, SD native and a graduate of Northern State College in
Aberdeen, SD. Tom has over 30 years of banking experience in South Dakota and Oklahoma.
He is responsible for the overall management of the bank including Commercial, Ag and
Real Estate Lending. The Vermillion Area Community Foundation, the Lions Club, the Senior
Citizens Center, the Vermillion Public Transit and the Vermillion NOW Advisory Council
represent his community focus.

Brian Thompson
Bank President, First Bank & Trust, Sioux Falls
Brian Thompson joined the Fishback family of banks in 2001 as the President & CEO of
First National Bank in Pipestone. Early in 2005, he facilitated the opening of a Loan
Production Office for Fishback Financial Corporation in the Sioux Falls market. Upon the
acquisition of First American Bank & Trust on April 1, 2006, the bank’s name was changed
to First Bank & Trust, NA and Brian was appointed CEO by the bank’s Board of Directors.
The bank has recently changed to a state charter under the name First Bank & Trust, SF.
Brian enjoys the outdoors during his free time and spending time with family; his wife
Brenda and daughter, Jordan.

Nancy Bitterman
Community Bank President, Canton
Nancy Bitterman has been with the bank in Canton since 2003. She served as the Assistant
Vice President prior to becoming Community Bank President there in 2006. Nancy has been
in banking since 1998 and is a graduate of SDSU with a degree in Ag Business.
A native of Wagner, SD, Nancy enjoys spending time with her husband, Kevin, and son,
Kaeden, helping out on the farm and spending time outdoors. She is an active participant
in many community organizations in Canton including the Canton Rotary Club, the Canton
Economic Development Corporation, the Canton Chamber of Commerce and the Children’s Miracle
Network. Nancy is also involved in the Canton Public School Foundation.

Jon Knuths
Community Bank President, Madison
Jon Knuths has been with First Bank and Trust in Madison for five years. He is a native of the Twin
Cities, but has been a resident of Madison for over twenty years. A graduate of St. Olaf College in
Northfield Minnesota with a degree in Economics, Jon previously worked in the manufacturing industry
for many years.
Jon enjoys spending time with his family, wife Beth and children Elliot and Emily, golfing, hunting
and other outdoor activities. Jon is active in many community organizations and he serves on numerous
boards including the Madison Community Foundation and The South Dakota Chamber of Commerce and
Industry. Jon is responsible for the overall Bank management in Madison, including Commercial,
Ag and Real Estate Lending.

Jeff Heesch
Community Bank President, Watertown
Jeff Heesch has been with First Bank & Trust for two years and has more than twenty-five years of
banking experience; Most recently serving as Vice President of Plains Commerce Bank for nearly 7 years.
An Elkton native, he attended Pipestone Area Vocational Technical Institute where he graduated with an
Associate’s Degree in Agricultural Banking. He is a member of the SDBA Ag Committee, Business Industry
School Coalition (BISCO), the Chamber of Commerce Ag-Executive Committee and the Lions Club.
He and his wife Kelly have five children Tara, Christopher, Abbey, Alex and Steven. In his free time
he enjoys boating, golfing and spending time with his family.

Kevin Paulsen
Bank President, First Bank & Trust, Pipestone
Kevin Paulsen is a Pipestone native and has been with First Bank & Trust since 1993 when he began
his banking career. Kevin holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Admin/ Finance and is responsible for
the overall management of the bank, including Commercial, Ag and Real Estate Lending. He is actively
involved in numerous community organizations in Pipestone.

Steve Wenzl
Bank President, First Bank & Trust, Milbank / Stockholm
Steve Wenzl has been with First Bank & Trust for 5 years and has more than ten years of banking
experience. His previous positions include VP of Business Banking at First Bank & Trust and branch
manager at a bank in Gettysburg, SD.
A native of Pawnee City, NE, Wenzl is a graduate of Nebraska Wesleyan University, Lincoln, NE with a
major in Business Administration and with an emphasis in Finance and Economics.
Steve enjoys spending time with his wife Stephanie and their daughter, Siera. He also enjoys hunting
and fishing in his spare time and is active in many area organizations.

Jane Moore
Community Bank President, Toronto
Jane Moore joined the organization in 1980 as a teller. Prior to FBT, Moore worked with Bankfirst as
the branch manager. She attended Canby Area Vo-Tech and received her degree from the Ag Secretarial
program.
Moore is a member of the Advisory Board of the Deuel County Good Samaritan Society. Originally from
Brandt, SD, Jane enjoys spending time with her family, helping out on the farm and traveling.

Andy Hubbart
Bank President, First Bank of White
Andy Hubbart joined First Bank & Trust in 2003 after graduating from South Dakota State
University with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics. He is currently working on his Master
of Science degree in Economics.
In 2009 he was named President of First Bank of White. Previously, Andy served the
organization as a Teller, Indirect Auto Loan Processer and Consumer Loan Officer.
Andy is involved with Leadership Brookings, ICBA and Habitat for Humanity. He enjoys any
kind of outdoor activity and spending time with his family and friends. He is originally
from Brandon, SD.
