Overall Functions

This person is responsible for the reception and guidance of customers in the Sioux Falls and Brookings Main lobby including the safe deposit area as well as performing quality assurance on new account documentation.  Must be able to work independently. 

Qualifications

This person should have an associate’s degree and a minimum of three years of related experience or the equivalent.  This individual should have strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

 1. Greet customers and identify customer needs in order to direct customers to the appropriate department or person. 

 2. Assist customers with opening, closing, and accessing safe deposit boxes and processing safe deposit maintenance according to established guidelines. Coordinate maintenance of safe deposit boxes. 

3. Perform quality assurance on new deposit accounts.  Ensure required documentation is obtained per FDICIA guidelines, document reviews performed and communicate any inconsistencies with management.  

 4. Perform a variety of general clerical duties including but not limited to maintaining sufficient supply of new account folders and brochures for the Retail staff. 

 5. Provide support for various retail and security functions.   

 6. Assist in sorting incoming mail. 

 7. For Brookings Location:  

  • Organize and maintain the Main Bank supply room and break room. 
  • Order weekly groceries for break room and third-floor kitchen. 
  • Work with outside vending company to supply break room. 
  • Act as backup for making popcorn. 
  • Coordinate the scheduling and configuration of the various conference/training rooms. 
 
8. Assist with bank promotions and customer appreciation days.  
 
9. Act in accordance with FBT policies and procedures as set forth in the employee handbook. 
 
10. Adhere to compliance procedures and participate in required compliance training.
