Overall Functions
This position works under limited supervision and coordinates and directs the daily activity of processing of loan transactions. This position interacts extensively with other institutions.
Qualifications
This person should have a bachelor's degree, plus four years of related experience or the equivalent. Knowledge of loan accounting and processing functions. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Good organizational and analytical skills.
Responsibilities
1. Maintain and perform all loan operations functions. Act as a back-up for the loan operations staff.
2. Learn and become the expert with various loan modules within the JHA system. Test the various loan modules in the UAT testing environment to be deployed/implemented in the loan area.
3. Write loan scripts to automate processes within loan ops and other loan areas in the bank utilizing FoxTrot.
4. Look for efficiency opportunities within the loan operations area. Identity differences amongst branch staff in processes. Create consistencies with the information obtained from loan staff.
5. Act as a resource for Loan Operations staff. Ensure problems and questions are handled efficiently and professionally in a timely manner. Assist in training new staff and existing staff as needed.
6. Be the expert in Shadow Accounting and how the system operates and ensure customers loans are operating according to standards set forth by examiners/auditors.
7. Assist in writing procedures to standardize department operations. Identify, address and recommend to management necessary policy and procedure changes.
8. Work closely with management to ensure daily, weekly, and monthly goals are met.
9. Act as the primary contact for other departments within the bank- when needed. Prepare necessary audit and exam requests.
10. Complete assigned projects as designated by the manager.
11. Act in accordance with FBT policies and procedures as set forth in the employee handbook.
12. Adhere to compliance procedures and participate in required compliance training.
