Overall Functions
Responsible for completing maintenance and upkeep of the facility’s grounds, buildings, and equipment ensuring the workspace is safe and functional. They will inspect the local facilities to ensure they meet safety regulations and standards and as directed lead facility projects.

Qualifications
This person should have a high school diploma or the equivalent, plus a two years of related work experience. A working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems is desired. A valid South Dakota driver’s license is required. This person must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities
1. Maintain day-to-day operations of facilities, including the completion of maintenance requests and monitoring and proactively maintaining all mechanical components including general repair of furniture, fixtures, and equipment ensuring they are in proper and safe working condition. This includes, but is not limited to, Mailroom and Kids World vehicles; mowing and snow removal equipment; maintenance vehicles and trailers.

2. Monitor for the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, such as offices, conference rooms, parking lots and outdoor recreation spaces in an efficient and cost-effective manner, ensuring a safe and attractive environment for employees and customers.

3. Maintain an orderly arrangement of supplies in storage facilities, including supplies needed to maintain building, grounds, furniture, and fixtures.

4. Assist in the set-up and break-down of employee functions. This includes tent set-up for different events, including Jacks games in the tailgating area.

5. Prepare facilities and grounds for changing weather conditions as well as respond to facility-related emergencies.

6. Act as the backup on-call person for requests for work to be done on FBT-owned houses and apartments.

7. Contribute to process improvement, operational efficiency, and superior customer service. Grow experience with Continuous Improvement and Lean tools and methodologies to make the applicable changes that will help the department and staff.

8. Act in accordance with FBT policies and procedures as set forth in the employee handbook.

9. Adhere to compliance procedures and participate in required compliance training.
