Overall Functions
This person manages and administers all aspects of existing high net worth trust/fiduciary and banking relationships and generates new relationships through proactive calling efforts. This person also facilitates the referral of high-net-worth clients and prospective clients to all other wealth management and banking services, including financial planning, brokerage, investment management, trust/fiduciary, private banking, business banking, retail banking, and mortgage banking services.

Qualifications
This person must have a bachelor's degree plus a minimum of five years of prior wealth management, trust administration, investment management, banking, sales, business management, and law/tax practice experience or the equivalent. This person must also have strong interpersonal communication and sales skills as well as be able to work independently and with various other departments within the Wealth Management Group and the bank. Superior organizational, administrative, and technology skills are also required. It is preferred but not required that this person holds the designation of CTFA (Certified Trust Financial Advisor) or AIF (Accredited Investment Fiduciary or a CFP (Certified Financial Planner) or has attained a J.D. in Law from an accredited university and law school.

Responsibilities
1. Administer trust accounts in accordance with the terms of the governing document, applicable laws and regulations, and trust department policies and procedures. Monitor daily activity with reference to investments, tax, and personal objectives.

2. Maintain contact with customers and organizations regarding account investment performance, tax and estate planning, and other issues to ensure that clients’ personal financial, estate, and tax planning goals are met. Pursue business development activities that may be identified in such contacts.

3. Actively participate in sales and development of trust, investment management, financial planning, brokerage, and private or other banking prospects within the bank charter area. Initiate contacts for developing and closing new personal trust, investment agency, and custodial business.

4. Meet with prospective clients to explain Wealth Management Group’s trust, investment management, financial planning, brokerage, and private banking services, discuss the advantages of proper planning, and obtain background data on corporate or personal finances, family relationships, and employee status. Coordinate with WMS Market Manager placement of such relationship.

5. Cultivate and maintain relationships with numerous sources of new business referrals, including bank officers and staff, company officials, COIs, attorneys, accountants, financial and wealth planning professionals, and various social contacts.

6. Resolve problems, issues, and inquiries of principals, beneficiaries, and other parties involved with Trust Account’s administration. Handle requests for distributions or planning and approving necessary expenditures for the trust beneficiaries’ care and maintenance.

7. Review and interpret governing instruments and documents to determine terms, responsibilities, and duties of the corporate trustee.

8. Keep abreast of law and regulatory changes that affect the Trust Department’s operation and administration of accounts.

9. Interact with peers in the industry and COIs to maintain knowledge of new products and services and to keep abreast of competition.

10. Assist Wealth Management Services Group Manager in developing and maintaining Trust prospect mailing lists and progress/status reports.

11. Conduct seminars and presentations to individuals, corporations, non-profit organizations, and other prospective clients as needed or requested.

12. Act in accordance with FBT policies and procedures as set forth in the employee handbook.

13. Adhere to compliance procedures and participate in required compliance training.
