Vermillion Bank History
Our history in Vermillion dates back to 1964 when Home Trust Savings & Loan Association originated at 100 East Main Street. The financial institution moved across the street to 20 East Main in 1978, which is our present location.
In February of 1993, ownership transferred to First National Bank in Brookings – part of the Fishback Financial Corporation.
In December, 2004, First National Bank in Brookings converted to a state charter and changed the organizational name to First Bank & Trust. The Vermillion office is a branch of First Bank & Trust Brookings.
The Vermillion office provides a full range of financial products and services, while maintaining intimate, friendly customer service as a family and employee-owned community bank.
