A New Location Coming to Sioux Falls at Dawley Farms
First Bank & Trust and Coffea Roasterie will each open a third Sioux Falls location in a joint venture at Dawley Farms Village in the coming year.
In a unique partnership approach, the two businesses will share a 4,529 square foot facility. Designed by Van De Walle Architects, the building will have separate spaces for the bank and coffee shop with a common lounge area for customers. “We are excited about the dynamic design and atmosphere of this building,” shares Bryan Kegley, CEO of Coffea. “At Coffea, we strive to create environments that enhance the experience of drinking great coffee. This café will offer the east side a bright and inviting space to enjoy amazing coffee, with room for creativity, conversation, and community.”
While the two businesses offer very different products, their commonalities make this a powerful partnership. Both are independent, community businesses with shared values of providing quality products and excellent service. Dawley Farms Village is an ideal location from which to serve customers living on the east side of Sioux Falls.
Jason Herrboldt, Executive Vice President of First Bank & Trust says the bank plans to locate five employees at the branch, which will include staff transfers and new hires. All employees at the Dawley Farms branch will have a broad base of banking knowledge, allowing any staff member to help a customer with almost any need. In addition, the bankers themselves will be mobile – using tablets to assist customers anywhere in the building.
“This is about blending technology and personal interaction in order to enhance the customer experience,” says Herrboldt. “People like to be able to complete tasks, like depositing a check, on their mobile device. But at the same time, most of us appreciate being able to look our banker in the eye every now and then – especially over a great cup of coffee.”
Van Buskirk Construction will oversee construction of the facility as the General Contractor. Site work will begin immediately, and a ceremonial groundbreaking will be scheduled in the near future.
