Fighting Hunger

  • North Anoka County Emergency (NACE)
    • Area Served: Bethel, Cedar, East Bethel, Ham Lake, Linwood Township, Oak Grove, St. Francis, Stacy and Wyoming, MN
      Overview: NACE provides food and clothing for people in need. In 2016 they had 11,765 individual visits and distributed 228,675 pounds of food.
  • Princeton Pantry
    • Area Served: Serves residents of the Princeton school district including portions of Sherburne, Mille Lacs and Isanti counties.
      Overview: The Princeton Pantry has two locations in Princeton, MN and is open 156 days a year to help those in need.
  • Peace Center
    • Area Served: New Prague
      Overview: The Peace Center Is a food distribution center serving individuals in New Prague and the surrounding area. Walk-ins are welcome at the Peace Center on Mondays, Wednesday, and Fridays.

Providing Housing and Aiding Self-Sufficiency

  • New Pathways
    • Area Served: Aitkin, Cass, Chisago, Crow Wing, Isanti, Kanabec, Mille Lacs, Morrison, Pine, and Todd County
      Overview: New Pathways’ mission is to build a stronger community by providing shelter and support services to homeless families with children. Supporting families is a team effort, which is why their Path to Home shelter chose a model that relies on hundreds of local volunteers. New Pathways’ hope is to connect families with people and resources that will help them to be successful long term.
  • Lil Farm Children’s Home
    • Area Served: Ramsey County
      Overview: Li’l Farm is a non-profit foster home offering children newborn to age 18 the opportunity to experience a safe home while being encouraged to learn, play and grow in self-esteem. Like the name suggests, it would not be complete without the full cohort of animals, including llamas, ducks, rabbits, geese, and chickens.
  • Habitat for Humanities New Prague
    • Area Served: New Prague/Scott County
      Overview: The New Prague Habitat for Humanity chapter is part of Habitat South Central Minnesota and serves as the local organization for guiding Habitat's efforts in the greater New Prague area and Scott County. They help build affordable housing with and for those in need in the community.

Funding Medical Research

  • Hope in Action
    • Area Served: Isanti County
      Overview: Hope In Action MN is a mental health awareness and suicide prevention group. The name came from a desire to encourage and inspire hope and healing, combined with the passion to provide or connect people to tangible and in-tangible local resources and support.
  • JDRF
    • Area Served: Statewide in Minnesota
      Overview: JDRF is the leading global organization funding type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. Our strength lies in our exclusive focus and singular influence on the worldwide effort to end T1D.
  • Duck Cup Memorial
    • Area Served: New Prague
      Overview: The Duck Cup Memorial serves local community members who need help with suicide awareness and prevention; working with the local high school to bring in suicide awareness and prevention speakers to work with students and teachers.

Helping Youth

  • Ace in the City
    • Area Served: Minneapolis/St. Paul
      Overview: Founded in 2008 as a basketball mentorship organization, Ace in the City has now emerged as a Christian community development organization. They seek to create community and cultivate belonging.
  • Kinship Youth Mentoring
    • Area Served: Princeton
      Overview: Kinship, Inc. is a private, nonprofit organization which believes in and promotes the concept of youth mentoring. They provide safe, quality mentor relationships that improve the lives of youth in the community.
  • HIS Haven Ranch
    • Area Served: New Prague
      Overview: HIS Have Ranch is a horsemanship program located in LeSueur County, Minnesota. HIS Haven Ranch provides a place for individuals aged 5+ who are going through a rough patch in life to come for one-on-one mentoring free of charge. It is their desire to come alongside each rider and teach them life lessons from the back of a horse.

Advancing the Arts

  • Play Inc. Community Theatre
    • Area Served: Cambridge, Isanti, and the surrounding area
      Overview: Play Inc. Community Theatre provides opportunities for students interested in developing further and adults interesting in becoming students once again.
  • New Prague Arts Council
    • Area Served: New Prague
      Overview: The New Prague Arts Council is a network of local artists and arts supporters who host a number of arts activities each year and sponsor community art projects.
  • Generations Theatre
    • Area Served: New Prague
      Overview: Generations Theatre Company is a non-profit community theatre based in New Prague that puts on two amazing performances per year.

Assisting Disabled Individuals

  • DAV (Disabled Veterans)
    • Area Served: Statewide in Minnesota
      Overview: A membership organization made up exclusively of Minnesota men and women disabled in our nation's defense, their mission is to fulfill the promises to the men and women who served.
    • Area Served: Cambridge
      Overview: Industries, Inc's mission is to support people with disabilities and other challenges by providing training and employment services which result in greater independence in their communities.
  • Let’s Go Fishing Scott County
    • Area Served: Scott County
      Overview: The Scott County Area Chapter of Let’s Go Fishing is dedicated to enriching the lives of individuals through fishing and boating excursions in the Scott County area.
