First Bank & Trust in Pipestone is pleased to welcome John Hansen as Community Bank President at the Pipestone, Minnesota, location.

“Coming back to a strong community has been one of the most exciting things about starting my new role,” Hansen said. While he is no stranger to First Bank & Trust having begun his career as a teller at the organization in 1997, he has since worked in a variety of roles from credit lending to management and brings a great deal of experience with him.

“We are excited to welcome John back to First Bank & Trust, where he is a perfect fit to spearhead our efforts in Pipestone,” said Jeff Lee, Regional Market President for First Bank & Trust. “John worked for us some years ago at our Brookings location, so he understands the passion our organization has for community banking.”

Hansen holds a Bachelor of Science in agricultural business and a minor in accounting from South Dakota State University and is eager to leverage his extensive banking experience at the Pipestone location and in the surrounding communities.

“Making the community’s experience with First Bank & Trust a positive one and ensuring convenient banking services are my top priorities,” Hansen said. He has already been busy meeting and connecting with the community and reconnecting with past co-workers. When he is not busy supporting the Pipestone community, he can be found spending much of his free time with his spouse, T.J., as they golf, hunt, hike, and play pickleball.
