Matt Johnson joined the Wealth Management team in 2022 and has more than 15 years of experience in wealth and portfolio management. In his current role, Matt enjoys helping clients manage their investments while keeping up with current market trends. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire and holds a degree in business administration and finance. He also holds the Series 7, 66 and 57 FINRA securities licenses.
As an avid outdoorsman, when Matt is not at the bank, he can often be found hunting or fishing. He also enjoys woodworking and building projects. Matt and his wife Jennie also stay busy keeping up with their son.
Bryan Simmons joined First Bank & Trust in 2025, bringing more than 20 years of retirement industry experience in trust operations, retirement plan design, and ERISA fiduciary consulting. Bryan holds an MBA from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN, and has earned AIFA and GFS designations. He has provided consulting and training on plan governance, investment stewardship, and fiduciary best practices to plan sponsors, investment committees, and non-profit organizations.
In his free time, Bryan enjoys mountain biking as well as cross-country skiing and fat biking in the winter months. He currently volunteers his time leading local trail rides and provides trail maintenance and park restoration. He has also served on various boards for community and non-profit organizations.
Bryan lives in southwest Minneapolis with his wife Colleen and their dog Bailey. They have triplet daughters who are pursuing various careers in Minneapolis, San Francisco, and Washington, D.C.
